Partnering up with the amazing rescue ‘Fundación Benjamin Mehnert’ in Spain, we are beyond honoured to introduce to you ALFONSO, a young at heart senior Podenco needing our help.
How could this poppet, at almost 10 years, be left to live in a shelter through no fault of his own? Alfonso didn’t get a say in the matter, but that’s where we are stepping in to be his voice. This pocket-size Podenco, at just 10kg, with such an endearing character, deserves a warm home, a comfy lap and a chance to enjoy the UK squirrels!
We are elated that Alfonso has now arrived into one of our superb foster homes in Derbyshire and is an absolute delight.
Alfonso was sadly diagnosed with a collapsed trachea but it is not deemed serious – a little cough here and there, but no impact on his breathing. He is currently having weekly blood tests to ensure he has the right dose of medication which will help him.

The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
