Charlene and Kacey

Charlene and Kacey

Delightful Pair

A very sad story reached us recently of a Spanish lady who had become very unwell and was now unable to care for her beloved pets. She was having to move into special accommodation but give up her dogs who she had loved and nurtured for many years.

She managed to rehome some of them, but two of her senior Galgos, Charlene (female tan) and Kacey (male grey) needed somewhere to stay. Charlene is negative in all disease but Kacey has unfortunately tested positive for Leishmaniasis and will require treatment and ongoing monitoring and management.

Our friends Galgos en Familia stepped in and they are now safe but a kennels is no place for two older dogs, particularly two who have been in a home for so long.

We are determined to find them a home together.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
