Character: An affectionate, energetic and inquisitive girl who enjoys being part of family life. She is playful with her resident dog, Biddy, and is friendly with household members and visitors. She settles quickly and comfortably on beds, the sofa or in the garden. She can have occasional moments of insecurity, but the stress signs seen during her first few days have reduced. She is not hyperactive.
Likes: Walks in the park and woods, playing with Biddy, fluffy squeaky toys, treats, food, resting in the garden or at home, and spending time with people.
Dislikes: No specific dislikes have been identified. She can become very excited and reactive when close to other dogs, particularly small dogs, pulling, jumping and sometimes barking. She calms a great deal once she has met them and is walking with them
Special talents: A quick learner, very food motivated and responsive. She learned not to countersurf within 2-3 days, is clean in the house, travels calmly in the car and settles well at home.
Specific needs: Continued positive, reward-based work around other dogs and on calm lead walking would benefit her. Her alone time should be increased gradually as she has shown mild separation anxiety, although this is improving. Her slight underweight condition and tartar build-up on her teeth should also continue to be monitored.
Cat workable: No
How long they can be left for: She has been left for 10 minutes and, on a second occasion, 20 minutes. She coped well, initially watching from the window and later settling down with Biddy. No destructive behaviour was reported.
Current area: Prescot, Merseyside

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.
Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.
Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.
Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
