Grandma Lena
We are so happy to introduce you to an angel who is very special to our hearts.
The beautiful 9 year old lady came from one of the nastiest areas of Seville, from Los Palacios to our great partners Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert.
Grandma Lena or Bean as she is widely known as, has had a horrible life prior to rescue. Very quickly FBM realized that something was wrong with the old girl – an ataxia (swinging corridor), a tilted head posture, she was whining and salivating – the doctors suspected a vestibular syndrome. However, as time has gone on, we now believe it to be intercranial lesions.
Sadly Bean has deteriorated in condition – the focus is now on giving her as much love as possible, comfort and peace for the remainder of her days. We have just ordered her a pram so she can have some walks without the strain as mobility has become more challenging for her. She falls regularly, and needs close monitoring.
This incredible girl is in one of our special foster homes in Derbyshire.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.
Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.
Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.
Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
