Dog name: Helyg Nicknames:
History: Helyg has had a series of very unfortunate events. Abandoned with her siblings when just a few months old, the more nervous of the litter, but her fate changed when rescued by Galgo’s Rescue Almeria and she found a family who fell so in love with her. Only a few months into life with her new family, the family suffered two extremely traumatic bereavements one after the other. Whilst the family did all they could to continue to care for Helyg, the deep felt trauma sadly took its toll on so many dynamics. Helyg struggled enormously and the relationship with the other resident dog began to fracture. Though the family have remained so committed, even with the support and guidance of behaviourists, it was no longer sustainable or fair.
