Idina

Idina

Dog name: Idina    Nicknames: Chai

History: Indina arrived at Galgos del Sur after being rescued from abandonment. She was very malnourished and covered in ticks

Uk arrival date: 18/07/2026

Breed: Galga

Colour: Brindle with dark muzzle

DOB: 01/09/2024

Height: TBC

Weight: 19.5kg

Neutered: Yes

Mediterranean disease: Treated for Filariasis, clear otherwise

Health condition: Great overall. Has a sensitive stomach at times and can experience car sickness on journeys over an hour

Character: Affectionate, joyful and a real velcro-dog. Idina is goofy, inquisitive and attentive to her people. She loves company, enjoys checking in with the family for affection and settles happily beside her people. She can also be stubborn and needs consistent training and boundaries.

Likes: Early walks, being with her people, rough-and-tumble play with another playful dog, soft toys, blankets and cushions, lick mats, food and treats, sleeping on sofas/beds, garden time, coffee shops and people watching.

Dislikes: Loud noises, particularly at night, heavy traffic and lorries close to the road. She can be cautious around unfamiliar men, especially older men, although this has improved significantly with familiarity.

Special talents: Excellent at making people smile with her goofy morning zoomies and bunny hops!

Specific needs: Idina needs a good walk first thing in the morning and regular positive outlets for her energy, as boredom can lead to her finding her own version of enrichment! She would benefit from living with another playful dog.

Cat workable: Doubtful

How long they can be left for: 2 hours once settled in

Current area: West Yorkshire, UK
