Galga Pup

Five month old Galga Laika was rescued with her siblings and were critically ill with Parvo. The puppies became ill and their “dear” owner decided that they were not worth the expense of saving them and that the strong ones would survive. Of course Galgos en Familia could not allow this and did everything necessary to get the galguero to give them to us.

A beautiful miracle and now they will live happy lives and only know love and be cherished.

If you are interested, please understand the energy, time and commitment required for a puppy and make sure you are completely certain you can fulfill the needs. That could mean months of housetraining, in addition to sleepless nights and helping them gain confidence in the world. It means supporting them through adolescence which can be very challenging. Please also understand that puppies are excitable, but need calm and sleep. A busy home can be too excitable for a young pup and they can very easily become over stimulated.

Laika is in a superb foster home in Bristol and is having a ball!

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
