Dog name: Limon Nicknames: Limoncello, Remy
History: Limón was abandoned together with Melón in a cage at the gates Galgos en Familia. The state in which both arrived was very serious: beaten, full of wounds, with eye infections, very malnourished, anaemic, with a lot of parasites and several diseases associated with them. This was an extreme case of animal abuse.

Breed: Mixed
Colour: Black and Tan
DOB: 07/07/2017

Mediterranean disease: Anaplasmosis+, treated and recovered well
Health Condition: Good, he has a few lumps and has had some teeth removed.
Character: Remy is a cheerful chap with a zest for life. However, although he can appear very happy with a very waggy tail, he does carry anxieties from his past and has a number of self-soothing behaviours he resorts to when dealing with stress – in the home he will scratch at the floor and doors. Outside he will become increasingly het up and vocal.
Likes: Being involved with his humans. Sleeping somewhere comfy with his humans close at hand. Food of any sort.
Dislikes: Things which go ping! Microwaves and pinging phones really upset him. He’s also not keen on his own reflection and will bark at it. When in urban areas he has a tendency to sing and can become very over-excited, pulling on the lead and barking. Also does this at the end of walks.
Special talents: Excellent with cats
Specific needs: Someone who has time to devote to him and to love him
Cat workable: Yes
Dream home: Somewhere he can be with his human most of the time; nice, sniffy places to walk away from too many urban streets; comfy places to sleep.
Current area: Sheffield, UK

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.
Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.
Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.
Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
