Loma arrived in the sanctuary of Galgos en Familia from the town of Badajoz, handed in by her galguero after many years of neglect and cruelty.
She is one of the most beautiful souls ever. As you can see she just loves the sun and has such a grace about her.
Loma was unfortunately diagnosed with Leishmaniasis, but made a good recovery, sadly, she relapsed but again responded well to treatment.
She came to the UK in search of a furever home and was adopted by her foster parents.
Sadly, Loma has had a bad relapse and her kidneys are affected. She is receiving treatment, but as you can imagine it has been incredibly worrying and distressing for her family and all who know and care for her. Due to the ongoing treatment Loma will need to help support her kidneys and immune system, we are making her a sponsor dog.
#### As of 5th July 2022, we are very sorry to say that Loma is no longer with us #####
Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.
Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
