Loma arrived in the sanctuary of Galgos en Familia from the town of Badajoz, handed in by her galguero, and we can imagine why. As usual, and luckily for them, they haven’t being good enough to keep going with their awful life.
With other dogs in the shelter she had a great relationship with all of them, it didn’t matter if they were males or females. She has a calm and equilibrated behaviour which makes her being submissive and sociable and she is in our opinion one of the most beautiful souls ever. As you can see she just loves the sun and has such a grace about her.
Loma is a perfect girl and we are ready to find her ideal home. She is friendly and affectionate – she loves cuddles, hugs and kisses, as probably she didn’t have any of them on the past.
Loma is about 6 and a half years old and is now in foster in the UK with another Galga.
If you are looking for a kind dog to share the best moments of your life with, you just have found her.
Loma has received treatment for Leishmaniasis but is now negative. She will remain on a low dose of Allopurinol which will need to be continued and as with all our Galgos and Podencos, she will require re-testing. She is happy and healthy but does have a bit of Arthritis – this does not seem to impede her and she will happily run with her friends.
In foster in Surrey.
Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
