Character: Lukey is gentle and sweet natured. He is very affectionate with his humans and loves a fuss. He will let other dogs and people take the lead but is also pleased to see his humans and dog siblings and likes being with them. He is calm in the house and likes to snooze and snuggle with the occasional burst of sneeze and spin and trot around the garden energy. He is energetic out on a walk or run or in a secure field but very much a cuddly sleepy pup back home.
Likes: Exploring; running; cheese; cuddles; snuggling in the warm; big dog chews
Dislikes: Cats; hoovers
Special talents: 4 footed jump for joy; a spin for treats; snuggling; going on runs on the lead with his humans
Specific needs: Lukey is very very excited by the world around him when he’s out on a walk and so he can pull at times as he tries to follow scent trails. He can be pretty vocal about his excitement which can mean he barks at squirrels or at times, if other dogs are approaching. 90% of the time once he greets a dog he is polite, but like many dogs he can be intimidated if a dog is approaching head on or is exhibiting scary body language and this can affect his reaction and lead him to show teeth. He has never actually snapped or aggressively lunged at another dog.
Cat workable: No
How long they can be left for: Several hours if with other dogs, 1-2 hours if all alone. Lukey has never been destructive in any way when left alone.
Current area: Hertfordshire/ South Cambridgeshire
