We are so happy to see this very special senior Galga finally in a home at the age of 9.
Lyra was a very special case and immediately reserved once our Founder had met her.
DOB 26/07/2015
Lyra was known as the ‘white, shaking girl’ in the footage we released on social media. It was clear upon meeting that this dear soul had lived all those years in fear. She shook when a stranger so much as looked at her. It was utterly heart breaking to see.
We thankfully found a lovely quiet foster home for her with another Galga her in the UK and we are astonished by how well she is adjusting to family life. She greets her foster family, loves to snuggle on the sofa with them, enjoys her walks… 9 years she has waited for this.
We cannot thank her foster family enough for giving her this chance to be liberated from a lifetime of terror.
She is looking for a quiet, gentle foster home, with another dog for confidence, and can live with dog savvy cats given sensible introduction.
She is amazing.
Negative for Mediterranean disease.
Lyra is in foster in Warwickshire.
Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.
Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.
Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.
Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.
Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
