We introduce this very sweet young Galga, Melon!
Melon was saved by our amazing partners Galgos Del Sur and is now in the UK to find her forever home.
At just 18 months and after a past of neglect and abandonment, she deserves a family who will share her enthusiasm and zest for life.
“Melon is an incredibly cute, playful, loyal and affectionate girl. She loves her people and her doggy pals. She’s always excited to see us and keen for cuddles and giving and receiving affection. She can be quite bouncy and she loves to play, but she can also settle and be a good WFH companion as long as she gets good stimulation (walks, toys, snuffle mats) at other points of the day.
She could be homed with another dog – and would love a regular playmate – but is also quite people focussed so could be an only dog if her people were around a lot. She’s very brave out and about – has been on the bus, to the pub, at a family event with toddlers etc. And takes it all in her stride – and she travels well. She’s equally happy to welcome house guests.
She makes a wonderful and adorable companion and is just looking for a lucky person or family to share her life with.”

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
