Gorgeous
Gorgeous Mick is a 7 year old Galgo with such a loving character – it is impossible not to fall in love with him.
If we had one wish, it would be for Mick to be home for good. He has had the worst luck since arriving in the UK and a total of 9 moves.
First he had a few nights lay over in foster due to his allocated foster being away upon his arrival, he then had to move as his foster mum had to return to the office for work. He was then adopted and returned after two weeks so an emergency foster was found, but here the home was too busy, two weeks later he then moved to another foster and began to display anxiety around men and sleep startle. The area was hard for him too, being urban. He then needed weekend cover so another move and then back again. The situation became unsurmountable so we needed emergency cover again until we were able to find someone who has been taking amazing care of Mick since.
Now in Scotland for three weeks holiday cover before he has to move back again and come December or earlier, he is homeless again.
He is so dear to all our hearts and it feels so cruel, having been through enough in Spain before rescue, to then have such an upsetting and destabilising time here.
This was supposed to be one of the best chapters in his life. To know what it is to be loved unconditionally, to have what other dogs have. A home to call his own. We know it is out there!
His three main asks are:
Female human only household
Rural
A balanced dog companion

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
