Dog name: Milagros Nicknames: Mimi, Mila
History: A Galguero hand into Galgo’s Rescue Almeria
Uk arrival date: 20/06/2026
Breed: Galga
Colour: Brindle with frosting
DOB: 10/06/2020
Height: 60cm
Weight: 21.5kg
Neutered: Yes
Mediterranean disease: Clear
Health condition: Healthy. Some old scars, has probably lost a bit of tail, some thinning fur on neck and chest – her old life was clearly not easy – but she will spruce up nicely with a bit of TLC.
Character: Gentle, well-balanced, happy, waggy, extremely affectionate, loves being touched and fussed. Bonds with her people very quickly, but will settle quietly on her own or beside you if you are busy with something else. Somewhat shy with new people but quickly gets over it. Very food-motivated, she is quick learner and her love of food will be a real asset in learning new life skills. She responds to her name, comes when called and walks just beautifully on the lead. On car trips she can be excitable and vocal at first but she settles quickly and has been fine on journeys up to five hours.
Likes: She especially loves being with her people, doing interesting things with them, going for walks or just chilling.
Dislikes: Scared of the TV but it’s early days yet
Special talents: Olympic standard counter-surfer
Specific needs: Someone to give her whole heart to and love devotedly for all her days.
Cat workable: Not tested
How long they can be left for: Fine downstairs overnight, and can be left alone during the day for at least 2hrs with another dog for company
Current area: Richmond, Surrey or by arrangement in West Norfolk
Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.
Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.
Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.
Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.
Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
