Breed: Galgo
Colour: Dark Brindle, grey face
DOB: 14/04/2018
Height: 25.9″ to the shoulder
Weight: 34kg
Neutered: Yes
Mediterranean disease: Clear
Health condition: Generally good, skin a little scurfy but improving with fish oils and raw diet. Good appetite
Character: Extremely gentle and kind, very shy but human curious and loving, undemanding. Easily overlooked. Has the longest Galgo tail I’ve ever come across! A follower not a leader
Likes: Being near his human and being near other similar temperament dogs. Loves the sofa, raw food, though can be easily distracted by movement, noise or other dogs so feed alone quietly for time being. Loves Lily’s kitchen snack bars! Takes a treat gently with understanding of the vulnerable nature of human hands and fingers. He is such a gentle quiet boy, who needs a gentle, calm, non demanding approach. He has spent much of his first week sleeping and is just venturing out to the winter weather… So taking things slowly at his pace., starting with tiny steps and building on that to set him up for success and build his confidence.
Dislikes: Sudden loud noises, the metallic sound of metal. Sudden unexpected movement. Shades of the past
Special talents: To be confirmed, but I am biased, I believe he’s a special talent in himself despite his awful experiences his light is beginning to shine. A true heart melter
Specific needs: A quiet, calm, semi rural environment with other like minded dogs. A simple routine, good food, relationship with kind patient humans. It’s still very early days for the lovely Milan
Cat workable: No
Dream home: He would thrive in a semi rural environment at the moment with calm gentle people prepared to walk with him paw in hand at his pace. Not sure about children at the moment
Current area: Hertfordshire, UK
