Muffin

Delightful
Muffin is a beautiful Podenca, who was lucky enough to meet a person who didn’t look the other way, and rescued her from the street in deplorable conditions. She was very ill.
She unfortunately tested positive for Leishmaniasis and after a worrying time, healed well and her organs were not affected. However, with any positive result for this, she will need ongoing monitoring and management.
Sadly Muffin has had two moves since being in the UK, through absolutely no fault of her own. In her first foster home, one of the resident dogs tried to attack her and in her adoptive home, she was returned due to a severe change of circumstances with her mum.
Despite Muffin’s hard past, she is a lovely, friendly, playful and affectionate dog with humans, always grateful for cuddles and kisses. She gets on wonderfully with other dogs, they are all good playmates. She can get quite excitable and being a Podenca, needs to channel her inner hunter, by way of enrichment.
This darling girl can live with children and other dogs very well – she is smart and with reassurance and patience adapts very well.
Currently in foster in Sheffield with cats.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
