Salva

Salva

Dog name: Salva        Nicknames:

History: Galguero hand in to Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert, Seville on 03/11/2025

Uk arrival date: 20/12/2025

Breed: Galgo

Colour: Brindle

DOB: 10/07/2015

Height: 69cm

Weight: 23.1 kg

Neutered: Yes

Mediterranean disease: Clear, having been treated for Anaplasmosis

Health condition: Salva has responded incredibly well to living in a home, to a good diet and to regular exercise. He is stronger, fitter and wonderfully happy, having adjusted well to family life.

Character: Loving, loyal, engaged, keen to please and to learn, gentle, respectful of his two foster dog sisters and a total joy to be around

Likes: Food, warmth, love, treats, his snuggly donut bed (despite my best efforts he doesn’t seem interested in getting on the sofa) and a log burner. Connects very well with kind humans. Sniffy walks and time to take it all in, with some zoomies too.

Dislikes: Cold, heavy or icy rain, big blustery lorries.

Special talents: Hearing the treat drawer from two rooms away.  Making you smile and lifting the mood of everyone he meets. Looking wonderfully handsome.

Specific needs: Salva simply needs a good diet, gentle exercise and a loving family. He should have many happy years ahead of him, and as his comical character continues to show, he is the perfect companion for the right person or family. He will thrive as an only dog or with a confident and relaxed female sighthound.

Cat workable: Not tested

How long they can be left for: Currently up to three hours with two other dogs

Current area: Herefordshire, UK

Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.

Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.

Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.

Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
