Varja

Varja

Dog name: Varja     Nicknames: Bean, Imp

History: She was rescued ‘by accident.’ While SOS Rescue were trying to rescue a greyhound, Varja entered the trap cage to eat, but the person who had ordered the rescue said that she did not want the greyhound, that they should let her loose on the street again because she had no room for her, so from Galgos del Sur we took charge.

Health condition: Excellent. On a break from Allopurinol.  Requires low purine diet. Microoftalmia in one eye, for which she has eye drops and 6 monthly opthlamology checks

Character: She feels insecure in new situations. She does have a clownish side, she just needs a quiet and safe place where she can feel safe and enjoy herself. With other dogs, she doesn’t really interact much with them. She lives well with them but doesn’t always interact with them

Likes: Food, snoozing, sunbathing and walks in the countryside

Special talents: Making snow scenes out of any hunted tissue. Being the sweetest soul, wagging her tail in her sleep, appearing by magic when there is food about, being the bravest soul and wanting to please. Being a comedian without realising it

Specific needs: Varja will need a patient home who won’t push her to be anything she isn’t

Cat workable: Yes

Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.

Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.

Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.

Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
