Character: Wilf is a highly intelligent, sweet and playful puppy, who is slowly
adjusting to life in the UK. He is eager to learn, explore and meet other dogs, but
sometimes doesn’t know his own strength and size. He is brilliant around new people
and in new places, though shy at first, he throws himself with all four paws into any
situation. A highly resilient and loveable dog. He is quite easily distracted, which is a good and a bad thing! He has great recall when not surrounded by other dogs, new sniffs or anything that could be of interest. Wilf does get bored quite easily, so does need regular entertainment!

Likes: Wilf is a big fish fan! He enjoys sprats in particular, and anything that is
remotely fish flavoured. He is quite partial to a pizzle, as well as a pigs/cows ear, and
of course enjoys yoghurt and cheese. He loves sound and music (particularly radio 3), and is very responsive to clicking (with either a clicker or making the sound yourself) and any random musical sounds. Wilf loves chewing! We’re not quite sure if this is a teething thing or an anxiety
marker, but either way he loves getting his chompers around olive wood, yak chews,
rope toes and the like. He also enjoys a snuffle ball, treasure hunt, and similar
enrichment activities.

Dislikes: Unusually, he isn’t that motivated by food, and is very fussy about his
choice of snacks. He is usually quite outspoken (and loud) about people passing by (whilst he’s in the house), and likes to make his feelings known!

Special talents: An unusual passion for gardening. He is a brilliant digger, and enjoys
laying on the flower beds once he has finished his chores.

Specific needs: Wilf is still getting the hang of toilet training, and often needs
reassurance and reminders when it comes to going to the toilet. He does pick-up
training commands quite quickly, and enjoys a steady routine.

Cat workable: Not tested

Dream home: Possibly somewhere rural, with another dog, but can settle easily into
most environments. He loves children, other dogs and people that can take their time
with him

Current area: Porthcawl, Bridgend

Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.

Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.

Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.

Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
