Character: Winni carries some very deep rooted trauma and has needed a very special foster family. Due to Winni’s past, she is terrified of having her collar and harness touched. When panicked or feeling trapped, she will bite. She is not aggressive, just very traumatised and has clearly known the worst of humankind. That said, in the right environment, given time and unconditional love, Winni begins to trust and with the help of her whippet foster siblings, is learning that life can be fun.
Likes: Sprats, toys, gentle humans, other kind whippets. A large, quiet garden.
Dislikes: Having her collar or harness touched. Strangers.
Special talents: Being completely adorable
Specific needs: A gentle home, with small dogs, preferably whippets who will help her learn that people aren’t so scary. It is crucial her trauma is not underestimated and that she find a home with calm and understanding humans who are confident in supporting dogs who need a great deal of time to feel safe. She needs to live in a quiet area, with a good sized, secure garden
