Woody

Special Home Required

We introduce you to this incredibly special boy, named Woody, who was thankfully rescued by our fantastic friends at Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert.

Due to Woody’s extreme fears, he was overlooked for two years in the shelter. Their amazing team of behaviourists, including Alberto and Corne, worked with Woody to help him rebuild trust in humans which had been brutally damaged. If feeling threatened or panicked, Woody could bite.

Woody needed a very specific home, with a family who were experienced with fearful and nervous dogs, with a special environment, where he could have enough space and time to gain confidence and piece his future together.

It has been a total dream come true for everyone involved in Woody’s care, for Woody to finally find his furever home with an amazing family of one phenomenally kind woman, with her 15 other sighthounds.

Woody is already feeling very at home, is enjoying all the comforts of a peaceful home, with nice cosy warm beds and snazzy jim jams, all the ham he could wish for, and endless compassion.

A very special homing for Project Galgo.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering. Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering. Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you. The final step is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
