Dog name: Yin Nicknames:
History: Abandoned with his brother Yang as the Galguero’s only wanted to keep the females. Rescued by Galgos del Sur, Cordoba
Uk arrival date: 20/12/2025
Breed: Galgo
Colour: Black and White
DOB: 20/07/2025
Height: 65cm
Weight: 18.5Kg
Neutered: No – neuter contract
Mediterranean disease: Clear
Health condition: Good
Character: Happy, cheeky, sometimes playful but also happy to relax and chill on the sofa or in his bed
Likes: Yin likes his food, enjoys walks and playing with his toys. Likes to play with my dogs but does get excited at times and tends to bark.
Dislikes: Originally slightly fearful of traffic passing but only to the extent that if would make him flinch but even after only being with us for less than a week he is much
more confident. Nervous initially of dogs off lead who race towards him. Again all he does is back away or jump away but then will calm down and stand nicely as long as
they don’t rush at him again. He is meeting more and more dogs off lead every day on our walks and is always friendly
Special talents: Looking cute. He is learning commands. Knows his name and can now sit for a treat and before his meals. He settles well and recently walked into town
with one of my whippets to visit a coffee shop. He settled well, wasn’t phased by the noise or movement and just sat and then lay down. He was very calm.
Specific needs: None really apart from what you would expect from a young puppy. He is doing well with his house training and sleeps through the night without an
issue.
Cat workable: He spent the first 2 weeks in a multi cat household and was amazing with them
How long they can be left for: I haven’t left him for more than say 5 minutes as yet but will be working on this slowly over the coming week. He doesn’t always get up and
follow when I move from room to room or if I leave the house to go into the garage. If he is resting he tends to stay where he is.
Current area: Loughborough
