Magnificent Milo

MILO NEEDS OUR HELP

Sometimes a dog comes into our care whose story stops us in our tracks. Milo is one of those dogs.

Milo was just a puppy when he was rescued by Fundación Benjamín Mehnert in Spain on 28 November 2025, after being hit by a car.

The accident left this tiny Podenco with multiple fractures and partial paralysis.

But Milo survived.

Now in the UK and under the care of one of Project Galgo’s amazing foster families, this beautiful little boy weighs has begun the next stage of his journey.

Milo has multiple and complex mobility problems and has an appointment with an ortho specialist and rehabilitation so that we can understand exactly what can be done to help him.

We have to be realistic: Milo will not make a full recovery.

But that doesn’t mean there is nothing we can do.

Our hope is to give him every opportunity to become stronger, improve his mobility wherever possible and, most importantly, enjoy the best and most comfortable life his body will allow.

And that is why we need your help.

Milo’s ongoing veterinary investigations, assessments, rehabilitation and future care come at a significant cost. Project Galgo will do everything we can for him, but we can only continue helping dogs with complex needs like Milo because people choose to stand beside us.

With the help of his foster mum, we are fundraising for Milo’s care.

Milo’s Fundraiser

If you are able to donate, however small the amount, you will be helping us give this little Podenco something he was very nearly denied when he was hit by that car:

A future.

If you aren’t in a position to donate, please share Milo’s fundraiser. Every share helps his story reach someone new.

Milo has already fought incredibly hard to get this far.

Now it’s our turn to fight for him. ❤️

Thank you, as always, for standing with our dogs.
