Rays of Hope – For Dogs in Bahrain

A dog’s affection is timeless, their devotion is ageless, and their love is forever. We can’t change a dog’s past but together we can rewrite his/her future!
“We believe that every creature with a will to live has a right to live free from pain and suffering! Every animal deserves a long, happy and healthy life. … and every dog deserves a good home! The enormous number of stray dogs here in Bahrain and the suffering which they endure is so heart breaking. They suffer hugely at the hands of some humans in Bahrain who treat them in such cruel, heartless and sometimes unbelievably sickening ways. Stray dogs are hanged, burned alive, poisoned, chased and hit by cars intentionally , chained and kept in cages too small for them! The majority of these homeless and voiceless souls do not survive long here due to the extremely harsh conditions they are living in!
Rays of Hope cause is trying to give homeless and injured stray dogs in Bahrain a hope and chance for a good life.
We have confidence in these dogs, who to no fault of their own, have been let down by humans. Rays of Hope collaborates with like-minded animal lovers rescue centers that are dedicated to being a voice for those who cannot speak, to save them from the neglect, abuse, and hopelessness they are in; to a life of new beginning and promise. Our partners see the beauty within each rescue, not caring as to how a dog looks or they aren’t a pedigree. They see each little life as precious, vowing that each will learn love and trust and know that they are not disposable; that they are valued. We work together with our partners in Canada/USA to restore their spirit so that their tails can wag happily once again.
A dog’s affection is timeless, their devotion is ageless, and their love is forever. We can’t change a dog’s past but together we can rewrite his/her future! Rays of Hope is trying to be a voice for the voiceless and homing the ones rescued whom have been facing death and danger through abuse, torture, intentional hit and run accidents and abandonment. Our past brought us to our future. We want to assure these dogs that they are going to be okay.”
Emtinan Zidany (the Founder)
Project Galgo feel very honoured to be joining partnership with Emtinan, an extraordinary woman working round the clock, saving at the drop of the hat, in sometimes very precarious situations, salukis, sloughis and other hounds in dire and at times critical need of help. Emtinan is their lifeline. Currently, it is more difficult than ever due to travel restrictions to rehome these exceptional souls. There is only so much space Emtinan has. We are so happy to be helping her and the dogs she saves and in helping them, we enable Emtinan to help more.
In 2022, we have welcomed Ramzi, Luke, Celine, Darcy, Louie, Gelsomina, Basha, Helena, Aalia, Nadeem, Lance, Bash, Faye, Jouri, Chance and Misk.
Join us in this very special and crucial mission. Be a Ray of Hope.
