History: Arrived at Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert, Seville on 11/07/2025 severely dehydrated, terrified and with a serious fracture on his hind leg.
Uk arrival date: 14/02/2026
Breed: Galgo
Colour: Caramel and white
DOB: 11/07/2021
Height: 68cm
Weight: 29kg
Neutered: Yes
Mediterranean disease: Clear
Health condition: Anubis has an old injury to his right hind leg. He is booked in to have the implant removed and will then need a period of recovery
Character: Anubis is best described as curious, cheeky, and loving. He is incredibly affectionate and thrives on human company, forming strong bonds with his people. He greets familiar faces with joyful enthusiasm and is always keen to be involved in whatever is going on around him.
He has a playful and mischievous streak—think of him as a long-legged toddler! He loves to explore, “help” around the house, and will happily entertain himself by collecting and playing with anything he can get his paws (or mouth!) on. Despite this cheeky side, he is gentle, friendly, and has shown lovely manners with people of all ages, including young children.
Likes: Squeaky and crinkly toys (especially his favourites he can throw and pounce on!). Food—he is very food-motivated. Affection, cuddles, and being close to his people. Playing, exploring, and a bit of cheeky mischief
Dislikes: Rain (he’s not a fan of getting wet!). Busy, noisy environments. Being left alone (currently finds this distressing)
Special talents: Expert toy-thrower and pouncer. Champion “roacher” (upside-down lounging!). Professional mischief-maker and household helper
Specific needs: Anubis is looking for a loving, patient home that will embrace both his affectionate nature and his cheeky personality. Very friendly and would likely enjoy a playful canine companion, though can also live as an only dog with enough attention
Cat workable: Unlikely
How long they can be left for: Short periods for the time being as he is still adjusting
Current area: Marsden, UK
