Dog name: Diego Nicknames:
History: Diego was found abandoned in Albacete and rescued by The Animals Home in Linares on 17/03/2026. He arrived completely terrified. For a while, his fear was so great that no one could even get close to him. We don’t know what he had experienced before he got there, but it was clear that he needed time, patience and a place to learn that people don’t always mean something bad. Then a shelter appeared and Diego had his first chance. Outside the kennel he began to change. Little by little she left her fears behind, began to trust and the dog that had been hiding behind fear all that time appeared. Diego began to play, to enjoy himself and, simply, to behave like a happy dog. However, his welcome decided to take him back to the pound because they considered that he had become “too playful”. Sadly he was attacked by dogs at the shelter and lost a part of his paw and two toes.
