Dimitri

Dimitri

Dog name: Dimitri         Nicknames:

History: Dimitri’s rescue was extremely disturbing. He was found by a Russian woman in Spain and he had a collar so tight and course that it had ripped into his neck and his skin has started to grow around it. He was just 3 years old. Catching him was impossible but she fed him as much as she could. She alerted Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert, Seville, who set about his safe capture. Finally after a great deal of patience, he was safe and arrived at the centre on 24/11/2023. The wound in his neck was atrocious and some necrotic, but thankfully with veterinary care, it healed, though it has left him with permanent damage to his vocal chord, though it only affects his bark. He has now been waiting at FBM for two years and we are desperate to change that!

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.

Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.

Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.

Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
