Character: A gentle, sweet and curious girl with a calm, polite nature. Mori can be slightly nervous and vigilant around unfamiliar noises, particularly when out, but she is trusting, affectionate and able to relax very well at home. She enjoys reassurance and affection and is beginning to show genuine excitement when she sees her people.

Likes: Sleeping in her comfy bed, short walks, affection and reassurance, being brushed and wiped down, yak milk chews, and even having gentle guitar played to her. She walks beautifully on lead and enjoys exploring fields and country lanes.

Dislikes: She can be slightly sensitive to unfamiliar or loud noises, including the hoover and large/loud vehicles. She has shown little interest in toys so far.

Special talents: An exceptionally polite, easy lead walker – no pulling and she sometimes looks to her person for direction. She is clean in the house, travels well in the car and has been calm and neutral around other dogs, including small dogs.

Specific needs: A calm, reassuring home that will allow her confidence to continue developing at her own pace. Her prey drive appears significant: she can intensely fixate on rabbits and cats, so this will need sensible management on walks. She may also need gradual exposure to unfamiliar noises. Her ability to be left alone has only been assessed for a short period so far.

Cat workable: Not assessed in the home. She has shown strong visual fixation on cats outdoors, so she should not currently be described as cat workable without further assessment.

How long they can be left for: Tested for approximately 20 minutes and appeared fine. Longer periods have not yet been assessed.

Current area: Cornwall, UK

Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.

Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.

Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.

Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
