Breed: Galgo

Colour: Brindle and White

DOB: 10/10/2023

Height: 67cm

Weight: 23.5kg

Neutered: Yes

Mediterranean disease: Leishmaniasis+, treated and stable, clear otherwise

Health condition: Good

Character: Gentle, loyal, affectionate. A quiet, people orientated companion who is also really good with other dogs. Joyful and cuddly with his trusted humans.

Likes: People (once he knows them), bones and hard chew toys, naps, running and sniffing with other dogs, food/treats! He’d love to be a nosey companion to everything you are doing as you work around the house/garden. And a brilliant bonus if you have time to give him a few strokes too! Loves trips to a secure field where he can go loose. Neutral to other dogs, very respectful of them but far more interested in his people.

Dislikes: Lead walks in busy areas, loud/sudden noises, raised or stressed voices

Special talents: Getting up onto the narrow window sill to watch the world

Specific needs: Very nervous on a lead in unfamiliar or busy locations (the lead is fine in his safe places and he is fine in unfamiliar or busy places off lead e.g dog fields, other people’s houses). He comes around to new women quicker than new men. Peaceful house and somebody home most of the time for him to hang out with.

Cat workable: Not tested

How long they can be left for: 4 hours easy

Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.

Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.

Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.

Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
