Uk arrival date: 18/07/2026

Breed: Spanish Whippet

Colour: White and brindle

DOB: 09/06/2022

Mediterranean disease: Not stated in the behaviour assessment

Health condition: No current health concerns. Previous digestive issues and an eye infection have resolved. He is currently doing well on a low-fat diet with protein, carbohydrates and vegetables.

Character: Affectionate, curious, friendly, confident, happy and loving. Piccolo enjoys being near his humans, loves fuss and cuddles, relaxes well and is generally unfazed by new places. He is bright, sociable and interested in meeting other dogs.

Likes: Being near his humans, sofa time and cuddles, mooching and sniffing in the garden, walks and secure-field time, chasing and playing with other dogs, food and treats, cosy beds and chairs, and activities that break up his day.

Dislikes: None specifically noted.

Special talents: Very bright and responsive to his name, fantastic on lead, and an enthusiastic countersurfer despite his short stature!

Specific needs: Piccolo would suit a home with people around, a garden with room for zoomies and sniffing, regular varied walks and opportunities for safe off-lead exercise. He needs calm people who will help him feel secure while encouraging independence and self-confidence. Stimulating activities and fun will suit his bright nature. He has a pretty high prey drive, so this will need appropriate management.

Cat workable: Not tested

Please use the form below to get in touch and ask about this adoption.

Adopting or fostering a dog is hugely enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work, and it’s a big decision. Below are the 3 steps involved in the process of either adoption or fostering.

Step 1 is to learn what’s involved; about Project Galgo, about adoption and about fostering.

Step 2 is to contact us for more information and we’ll discuss everything with you.

Step 3 (the final step) is to fill out either the adoption or fostering forms and officially start the process. These forms are in depth, and may take you some time to fill out. It is recommended you do this on a laptop or desktop computer. It is required that you fill out every field, the forms will not submit if questions are skipped.
